University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A. Thesis on “Measuring Administrative Capacity of Banks and their Impact on Lending Behaviour through Determinants of Size, Growth and Employment”

Faculty of Administration and Economics – University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled “Measuring Administrative Capacity of Banks and their Impact on Lending Behaviour through Determinants of Size, Growth and Employment: An Analytical Study of a sample of Iraqi banks listed in Iraq Stock Exchange of the period (2006-2020)”.
The thesis, presented by Zahraa Nizar Abdel-Wahab, includes achieving balance and moving towards diversity in loans granted by banks, which may be due to full levels of administrative capacity in which these banks possess to achieve effectiveness and operational efficiency and benefit from positive role of characteristics of size, growth and employment.
The thesis aims at measuring and analyzing the administrative capacity of banks and determining the extent of their impact on direction of lending behaviour towards diversification in granting loans to different economic sectors.
The thesis concluded the necessity of the banks’ interest in possessing full levels of their administrative capacity because of their positive effects on the direction of lending behaviour towards diversification and benefiting from the main characteristics which are size, growth and employment.
