University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A Thesis on the Role of Adiponectin , Insulin Resistance and Oxidative Status in Development of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in Iraqi Women

College of Medicine / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” role of adiponectin, Insulin Resistance and oxidative status in development of polycystic ovary syndrome in Iraqi women”.
The study, presented by Yasmine Emad Kadhim, aims at finding out whether women with polycystic ovary syndrome have any difference in levels of Adiponectin and occurrence of oxidative stress in obese and non-obese group or not, and the relationship of this to insulin resistance.
The study concludes that low level of Adiponectin in groups of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome is related to body mass index.
