University of Kerbala
Strategic Studies Centre – University of Kerbala has organized a scientific symposium on the dangers of drugs and ways to immunize them. A number of the center’s researchers, psychiatrist Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, director of Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control, Brigadier Jabbar Al-Tai, have presented the lecture. The symposium has been attended by Vice President for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein Najm.
The symposium, which is entitled (Drugs is a scourge that kills Iraqi society: causes and solutions), aims at shedding light on this dangerous addiction, how to confront it, and immunize it.
The symposium recommends on strict application of laws, including Law No. 50 of 2017, activating the work of the National Anti-Narcotics Committee, paying attention to the cultural aspect and supporting security services.
