University of Kerbala
Faculty of Engineering / University of Kerbala has organized its seventh international scientific conference with participation of Swinburne University of Technology and in cooperation with University of Warith al-Anbiya, Al-Hussein University College, and Engineering Consulting Office / University of Kerbala.
The conference has been attended by Minister Counsellor of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hussein, President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basem K. Nile, and a group of deans and professors of engineering faculties in Iraq, in addition to a large number of researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
Minister Counsellor of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hussein, appreciates conference organizers’ , researchers’ and professors’ efforts, stressing that the Ministry is committed to develop a research system that will advance the work of professors and researchers and enable them to face challenges facing society.
For his part, President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basem K. Nile, states that the University is adopting a set of strategies that will improve its outputs, including organizing scientific conferences that provide the atmosphere for cross-fertilization of ideas, publishing research in international databases for review and citation and holding workshops and seminars for students and professors.
For his part, Dean of Faculty of Engineering , Dr. Haider Nadhim Al-Mahanna, explains that the conference is to discuss challenges facing society and seeks to find out solutions through a large group of participating researches, indicating that number of researches that obtain approval of scientific committee of the conference reach (95) researches, including (12) international researches. It addresses various problems that present a challenge to society.
