Opening new horizons for graduates and with strong turnout of 25 private companies, College of Administration and Economics organizes the second edition of its Job Fair, with participation of 25 private sector companies and institutions in Karbala Governorate.
The fair is as a platform for networking and building sustainable partnerships between University of Kerbala and private sector institutions. This aims at developing students’ skills and preparing them for job market by enhancing their experience and expertise in launching their own projects outside public sector and providing them with insights into experiences of successful companies and commercial institutions.
President of the University Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid states that the university strives to develop its academic programs and training curricula to keep pace with evolving demands of modern job market, ensuring graduates have genuine opportunities for integration and innovation. He also emphasizes that the university is no longer merely an educational institution but has become a center of expertise and knowledge, a cornerstone to shape economic and administrative policies, and a provider of sound advice.
For his part, Dean of College of Administration and Economics, Dr. Hashim Al-Husseini, explains that the world is undergoing rapid economic transformations in which private sector plays a significant role in real growth, job creation, and increased productivity. He notes that the conference represents a national project to build genuine bridges between the university and job market, highlighting private sector as primary destination for graduate students.
It aims at reducing unemployment by providing direct job opportunities and enhancing skills required by labour market.
The conference also included an exhibition of goods and products manufactured by participating companies, as well as institutions showcasing their diverse services.
