University of Kerbala, in Cooperation with Wageningen University – Netherlands, Inaugurates Knowledge Transfer Unit

University of Kerbala has inaugurated Knowledge Transfer Unit -Faculty of Agriculture within the joint Iraqi-Dutch project related to (Efficient Water Management through the Transition to Climate-Smart Agriculture, Capacity Building and Knowledge Development). It has been attended by President of the University, Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Al-Saedi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and a number of deans of Faculties, professors and postgraduate students of the Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Al-Saedi says that the “Knowledge Transfer Unit” project is equipped with modern and latest devices in terms of phonetic system and interactive smart screen. He indicates that the project has been funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs -Nuffic organization, and it has been supported by the Presidency of the University to be a model classroom. It is considered an important achievement of the University.
Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Al-Saedi, in turn, praises Dr. Karrar Mahdi’s role, who is the general coordinator of the project, for his exceptional efforts in organizing the completion of phases of the project.
On the other hand, the coordinator of University of Kerbala with Dutch University, and Dean of Faculty of Computer Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Hadi, explains that the opening of this Unit is the result of hard efforts presented by the University with the support of its presidency within the Iraqi-Dutch project, which will be a distinguished scientific platform of University of Kerbala from which all faculties of the university will benefit to organize scientific activities.
