University of Kerbala
Department of Information Technology / University of Kerbala has organized a training workshop on health risks and harms resulting from addiction.
The workshop explains nature of drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as symptoms of an addicted person and how to identify them, in addition to explain the concept of addiction, its causes, harms and negative effects.
The main objective of organizing the workshop is to activate national strategy of drug prevention , prevent spread of addiction, and develop ways to contain this phenomenon and reduce its effects on the individual and society.
The workshop recommends the need to be responsibile to limit spread of drugs, and the importance of humanitarian and civil society organizations taking their role in holding educational seminars about dangers of drug addiction to avoid it.
