University of Kerbala Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Globalization and its Implications for Development

College of Education for Human Science/ University of Kerbala has organized a scientific workshop on globalization and its implications for development, in presence of a number of professors and postgraduate students.
The workshop aims at presenting the concept of globalization from a geographical perspective, focusing on it and the most important negatives and positives that geography can produce.
The workshop includes three axes. The first concentrates on explaining the concept of globalization and its economic, social, and political dimensions. The second deals with the idea of development and its dimensions, while the third one discusses repercussions of globalization on development, both positive and negative.
The lecturers call for the necessity of employing scientific research in order to provide an explanation of characteristics of globalization, as well as the necessity of applying sustainable development goals.
