University of Kerbala Organizes a Symposium on Enhancing Innovative Environment in Universities

To be attended by President of University of Kerbala Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, vice President for Scientific affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Muhammad Imran, vice president for administrative affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Eidan Al-Maamouri, and a number of deans of colleges, professors and students, College of Education for Humanities , University of Kerbala organizes a scientific symposium on enhancing Innovative environment in universities, in cooperation with American University in Baghdad Advisory Council.
The symposium, presented by Dr. Amjad Talal Saeed, Advisor of Institute of Continuing Education, American University in Baghdad, addresses how to establish technological incubators for emerging projects that can be matured and introduced to labour market in a way that contributes to create a sustainable environment of entrepreneurship.
President of the University Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, states that the university supports all creative ideas that serve labour market, pointing to formation of special committees to benefit from graduate students’ and professors’ skills .
Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali expresses his hope to double financial support for government universities to achieve qualitative leaps in scientific and research fields.
On the other hand, Dean of the College, Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, points out that scientific symposium comes within vision of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting innovation in higher education, as it represents a decisive turning point in directing universities towards sustainable development.
Al-Saeedi stresses the need to support and train graduates and then market them to investment entities, in addition to create a suitable environment for innovators in order to provide community service.
