University of Kerbala Organizes a Workshop on Tolerance as a Human Value in Contemporary Society

College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala holds a workshop on “Tolerance as a Human Value in Contemporary Societies.”
Being presented by Asst. Prof. Zaid Wafaq Shakir and Professor Tuqa Abdul-Ridha Mohammed, the workshop addresses the concept of tolerance as an ethical behaviour that promotes peaceful coexistence and respect for diversity, and its role in reducing conflicts and establishing psychological and social stability. It emphasizes that tolerance represents a moral force and does not mean relinquishing one’s rights.
The workshop also reviews the most prominent manifestations of tolerance in daily life and obstacles that limit its spread. Practical ways to promote this value within families, educational institutions, and society at large have been proposed, so as to build an atmosphere characterized by cooperation and mutual respect.
