Faculty of Science – University of Kerbala has organized a training course on Culture of clinical specimens for students of Department of biology.
The course aims at familiarizing students with the most important clinical specimens and the general principles of collecting and preparing them for analysis and diagnosis.
It also focuses on how to deal with infectious disease specimens while taking the examination sample, explaining the culture media, ways of preparing it, and identifying methods for isolating and cultivating samples.
The course deals with the most important diagnostic tests such as blood, urine, throat and nose swabs…etc. It explains how to optimally use samples in a safe manner and the most important biological safety methods..
