Within mechanism of scientific and research cooperation between Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and to promote the exchange of scientific experiences, Faculty of Agriculture / University of Kerbala has held a symposium which is entitled “Bee Pests”, in cooperation with Directorate of Agriculture / Karbala, with participation of a number of specialists and researchers.
The symposium deals with how to use the new pesticide Varroa safely in eliminating pests that infect apiaries, and modern methods of combating them.
The symposium stresses the need to support the activity of beekeepers in province of Karbala, in beekeeping.
Dean of the Faculty , Prof. Dr. Thamer Al-Janabi, says that the Faculty is constantly working to address the delay in agricultural and industrial projects, and seeks to provide a safe environment through the establishment of scientific activities and the provision of appropriate consultations for beekeepers.
