Prof. Dr. Karim Dhamad Musheer Al-Fatlawi, a lecturer at Faculty of Tourist Sciences – University of Kerbala, has published a book entitled (Philosophy of Islamic Economic Planning, a Historical and Analytical Study).
The book, which consists of 279 pages within nine chapters, includes a detailed discussion of Islamic planning within the perspective of Islamic philosophy by introducing the theoretical foundations of Islamic economics and the basic foundations of the idea of economic planning.
The author states that the book presenting an intellectual treatment of the Islamic perspective of economic planning process, which in return, represents a basic pillar for building sustainable development, based on the overall theory adopted by Islam in the intertwining of the interrelationship between historical and economic method. This process leads to extracting the primary foundations for building an Islamic planning theory that can be adopted through the mingle between established principles in the Qur’an and Sunnah and the jurisprudence added by history that contribute to crystallization of an Islamic theory of action in the economic field and one of its tools, which is the theory of planning.
