Faculty of Nursing / University of Kerbala has organized a training course on occupational health and safety and risk assessment, with participation of specialists and a number of heads of scientific branches.
The course axes includes detailed explanations of basic steps of risk assessment, starting with analyzing and arranging risks and ending with planning to respond to them and reduce possibility of their spread. The lecturers identify some risks in work environment, which variey between physical, mechanical, moving machinery and biological risks.
Risk assessment is carried out through an integrated system that includes a set of basic elements through which risks are assessed in existing, used, or to be established operational units and processes in order to control and control these risks and the damages or losses that may result from them.
At the end of the course, the organizers highlight s the need to follow and apply occupational safety procedures in institutions to avoid accidents risk.
