Vice President for Administrative Affairs Participates in Closing Ceremony of Writing Competition for University Students

Vice President of University of Kerbala for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Akram Mohsin Al-Yasiri, participates in activities of closing ceremony of writing competition organized by Scientific Academy / al-Abbas Shrine, as part of Qur’anic project for students of Iraqi universities and institutes.
Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, as a representative of University of Kerbala, stresses the necessity of investing Qur’anic teachings in daily life and activating the role of Holy Qur’an to supplement value system.
Al-Yasiri sheds light on the importance of the role of Holy Qur’an in social upbringing. He also points out that the importance of existence of a general culture in society derived from religious culture of prophet’s household (peace be upon them), calling on all universities to uphold God’ word and give Holy Qur’an great attention. This is because of the role it plays in spreading religious awareness in Islamic community.
Al-Yasiri appreciates efforts made by holy shrines. The closing ceremony of written competition has been attended by vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein Al-Janabi; Dean of College Administration and Economics, Dr. Hashim Al-Husseini; Dean of College of Science, Dr. Hassan Jamil, and a number of professors.
The competition aims at spreading culture of Holy Qur’an and Prophet’s Household (peace be upon them).
More than ten thousand students, male and female, from various Iraqi governmental and private universities and institutes participate in the competition, and closing ceremony includes honoring winners.
