Kerbala University Holding a Workshop Discussing “Water Resources: Crisis and Challenges”

With the participation of a number of faculty and students, the Faculty of Engineering at Kerbala University  has organized a seminar entitled (Water Resources: Crisis and Challenges).

      The workshop aims at introducing  ways of getting benefit from other water sources such as torrential water, rain, floods, groundwater, and the possibility of rationalizing water consumption for irrigation, industry, drinking, etc. so as to find some alternatives to alleviate this crisis.

    The seminar includes a presentation and discussion of the real crisis facing Iraq at present and major challenges from the scarcity of incoming water to Iraq and its deteriorating quality, as well as the possibility of developing practical solutions with planning and peaceful management to address this crisis while maintaining awareness and education such as conducting studies and practical research.

   The seminar focuses on  the necessity of using modern methods and systems in providing advanced technical and technological means for the work of sustainability and reuse water systems in use by relying on experiences in many developed countries.
