Spatial analysis of murders in the Musayyib district for the period (2014-2019) Using GIS technology

Abstract
The study of the geography of crime is one of the most prominent topics in order to determine the reality of crime. It has become necessary to study the phenomenon of murder in terms of the concept, motives and ways of confrontation in human societies to ensure stability in our societies. And the timeline of murder and its types in the Musayyib district, and this study seeks to analyze the crime of murder in the Musayyib district through the use of the (GIS) program, and the creation of a database and information for homicides, the number of perpetrators, and the identification of places where the rate of homicides is high. The importance of the study is that it sheds light on The most serious crimes that the population of the study area are exposed to, according to the modern and advanced method that it follows through the use of geographic information systems (GIS), as the study was analyzed according to the descriptive and analytical statistical method, as (320) questionnaire forms were distributed to most of the inmates who were detained in prisons The study area, which numbered (672) inmates, i.e. (47.6%) of the sample size, and through the study, we reached a set of results, the most important of which is the presence of discrepancy In the number of murders committed within the police stations and their centers spread in the study area, as the murders were not distributed depending on the population density and the type of murders also differed from one center to another, relatively, their rates increased in one center and decreased in the other, and based on the results of the study, a number of Among the recommendations, the most important of which is the redistribution of police stations in the study area in the optimal (central) locations and in a scientific manner in order to achieve speedy access to the crime scene, taking into account the distance between one center and another so that it is as equal as possible.
