Abstract
The study dealt with a vital topic in the society’s life, as it discussed the topic of tourism. In the Musayyib district, there are possibilities and problems, and tourism is one of the most important main functions of strengthening the national economy, increasing income, providing job opportunities, and increasing state revenues. The main research problem came about the natural and human geographical potential that the study area has. Is it capable of developing tourism activity in a way that affects the economy of the district or governorate As for the secondary questions, they were represented by the geographical components of tourism, the obstacles and problems that hinder tourism development in the Musayyib district, and how to invest the components of tourism activity in the study area in its correct form, and the possibility of having future plans for tourism development. As for the goal of The study is to highlight the components of natural and human tourism in the district in terms of their economic and social importance, which allows decision makers to make decisions that serve the process of economic and social development in the study area and to identify the most important problems that hinder tourism development in the district, the most important of which is the lack of interest in tourist sites such as natural sites, archaeological and historical sites, and religious shrines that It is represented by shrines , as well as the absence of cultural and environmental awareness, and proposing a set of plans that can be invested in the future to make the Musayyib District area a prominent tourist destination. The study followed the regional, descriptive, historical and analytical approach. The first chapter dealt with the theoretical framework of the study, the problem, the hypothesis, the goal, and the importance of the study, as well as similar studies and concepts related to the study. The second chapter was the components of tourism development in the Al-Musayyab district, and the first section dealt with the geographical components of tourism development in the district
As for the second section, the human components of tourism development in the district, the study was carried out in the third chapter, the nature of tourism activity in the district of Musayyib, and it consists of two sections. The first section is the geographical distribution of tourist sites in the district, and the second section deals with the characteristics of the tourist movement in the district, while the fourth chapter deals with the tourism obstacles in the district of Musayyab and its future prospects. It consists of two sections: the first section is the tourism obstacles in Al-Musayyab District, and the second section deals with future prospects for tourism development in Al-Musayyab District. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is that the study area has geographical potential (natural and human), archaeological and historical sites, as well as religious sites, with the study area lacking care and attention to the tourist sites, infrastructure and services, in addition to its lack of tourist media and the lack of holding specialized courses in tourism. The study was concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals, for example, paying attention to the tourism reality in the Musayyib district and encouraging the investment process by companies and entities specialized With government and civil awareness, paying attention to the media side, and performing continuous periodic maintenance , Restoration and development of religious and tourist sites, providing amenities such as private parking garages and resting places, investing in natural sites and picturesque areas, afforesting the areas and preserving them from pollution.
