The aim of the research is to identify leadership skills in terms of performance competencies and functional involvement of physical education teachers in the General Directorate of Education of Karbala Governorate, and the nature of the correlation between them, in light of the multiple roles played by the physical education teacher in leadership, planning, implementation and evaluation, and the extent of integration and involvement of the physical education teacher in his profession. , and thus the extent to which the study variables relate to the function of teaching physical education. The researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey method and the correlational relationships, due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The research population included teachers of physical education in the General Directorate of Education of Karbala Governorate, who numbered (269) teachers distributed over the districts of Karbala Governorate. The most important conclusions of the research were the ability of the study measures that were built to measure the extent to which physical education teachers in the General Directorate of Education of Karbala governorate enjoy leadership skills, performance competencies, and job involvement, and there is a significant correlation between leadership skills, performance competencies, and job
involvement among physical education teachers in the General Directorate of Education Karbala Governorate, and the most important recommendations of the study were the adoption of standards that were bu ilt and applied to other samples, and the development of the capabilities of physical education teachers in leadership skills and performance competencies; Because of its positive impact on the work of the teacher of physical education, and work to provide a school environment in which the capabilities are available, which contribute to the performance of the teacher of physical education for his job duties, which increases his job involvement.
