The study aimed to identify the level of some physical, motor and visual abilities and their relationship to the skill performance of junior football players, as well as to identify the direct and indirect relationships of physical, motor and visual abilities and their relationship to the skill performance (defensive and offensive) of junior football players, to identify the size of the impact of visual abilities as a basic mediating variable between the independent variables and the dependent variables, and to develop a structural model for some physical, motor and visual abilities with skill performance as an indicator for selecting junior football players. The researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey style and studying the mutual and predictive relationships (path analysis). The research population was determined on football players in the clubs of Karbala Governorate for the junior category, numbering (142) players, and the research samples were selected by simple random method from the research community with (30) players and a percentage of (21.12%) of the original community for the exploratory experiment sample, and the main application sample represented (90) players and a percentage of (63.38%). The researcher used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the Amos program to process the data and extract the results. The researcher reached the conclusions, the most important of which is the emergence of direct and indirect effects between the independent variables (physical and motor abilities), the intermediate (visual abilities), and the dependent variables (defensive skill performance, offensive skill performance). One of the most important recommendations reached by the researcher was to conduct a study of other and broader mental and emotional variables in the game of football and players from other age groups.
