As for the research population and sample, it included students of the third year in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Karbala University for the academic year (2020-2021). The total was 118 students. The research sample was chosen from them randomly (by lot) after excluding those whose weights constitute statistically outliers. The ultimate number of the sample was (44) students, (22) students in each group with a percentage of (37.288%) out of original population. The appropriate statistical software (SPSS) was used to extract the results.
As for the fourth chapter, it included presentation, analysis and discussion of the results reached by the researcher.
As for the fifth chapter, it included conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which were:
1- The (M.U.R.D.E.R) strategy and the strategy used by the teacher had clear effectiveness in increasing the students’ ability as well as in understanding and inculcating special information in cognitive achievement and learning some grips from the students’ wrestling sitting position.
2- The (M.U.R.D.E.R) strategy showed a clear and significant development for the experimental group in cognitive achievement compared to the control group.
As for the recommendations, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- It is necessary to generalize the results of this study when teaching wrestling grips to students.
2- It is also necessary to involve male and female wrestling teachers in developmental courses and seminars held to familiarize about modern methods and strategies in learning and performing the skills of this sport.

As for the research problem, it was manifested in the fact that wrestling is one of the basic subjects in the curriculum of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, and for the third year. Students are required to get skills in this game theoretically and practically. Because the students have not practiced wrestling before, learning this sport was a bit difficult for them. Therefore, the researcher decided to investigate whether the (M.U.R.D.E.R.) strategy has an effect on students’ cognitive achievement and learning some grips from the sitting position of wrestling by them.
As for the importance of the research, it was manifested as follows:
1- Building a cognitive achievement test for students to learn some wrestling grips from a sitting position.
2- Recognizing the effect of the educational program using the (M.U.R.D.E.R) strategy on students’ cognitive achievement and learning some wrestling grips from the sitting position.
3- Recognizing the priority of influence between the (M.U.R.D.E.R) strategy and the method used in learning some grips from the sitting position with wrestling for students in the post tests.
As for the research hypotheses, they were: The (M.U.R.D.E.R) strategy has a positive effect on students’ cognitive achievement and learning some grips from the sitting position wrestling. In the second chapter, the researcher also dealt with a number of topics, theoretical frameworks, and some previously- investigated variables. As for previous studies, two studies were included to support the research from a scientific point of view.
As for the third chapter, it included the research methods and its field procedures. The researcher used the experimental method by designing the two equal groups for its suitability to the nature of the research problem.
