The Narrative Elements in Jaber Khalifa Jaber's Story Collection

Narrative art has occupied the interest of writers and readers alike. Because of its importance in narrating the facts, and foreseeing the future in an artistic manner capable of monitoring the changes and transformations that any society is going through through language and its eloquence.
Narrative writings have increased in the Arabic language, and there have been many studies that dealt with criticism and research, and thus the study of the elements of narration became the focus of attention of researchers of all kinds, so this study aimed to shed light on the narrative production of the Iraqi writer “Jaber Khalifa Jaber”, who preferred narrative fiction as a hobby he loves. He excelled in weaving narrative elements into his stories, which contained various humanitarian issues, and he was able to tell us what no one else could tell us in real life.
The necessity of the research necessitated that the research be located in three chapters, preceded by a preface and followed by a conclusion. The preface monitored the concepts of narration and story, linguistically and idiomatically, then presented an introduction to the storyteller by monitoring his biography, reviewing his literary culture, his writings, and his manuscripts.
As for the chapters, the first chapter was entitled: (The Event), and in turn, it was divided into three sections; The first topic focused on the types and formats of the event, the second section was devoted to talking about ways of presenting events, and the third section touched on the plot.
While the second chapter was entitled: (Personality), in two main topics; The first topic studied the concept of personality and its dimensions, and ways of presenting it, and the second topic followed the classifications of the personality and its references by accessing its types, presenting some models of the personality in the story, and clarifying its references to the storyteller “Jaber Khalifa Jaber”.
Then comes the third chapter, marked with (time and place), and it is divided into two sections; The first topic dealt with time and its types, temporal arrangement relationships, temporal movement and the techniques of acceleration and deceleration, and the second topic studied the concept of place, and its classifications in the story’s product. The conclusion includes the results of the research.
