College of Computer Science and Information Technology , University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled” Fake Reviews Detection in E-commerce Using Machine Learning Techniques”.
Being submitted by Maysam Jalal Abdul Dawood, the study aims at formulating two models to detect fake reviews. The first model includes supervised learning and deep learning, while the second one relies on methods of analyzing a set of behavioural characteristics of reviewers.
The study concludes that the use of deep learning algorithms such as LSTM outperformed traditional algorithms.

The study recommends using other methods of algorithms, other sets of data and analyzing additional characteristics to analyze people’s behaviour who write reviews.
