The study aims at shedding light on the use of input-output method as one of the methods of calculating multipliers at level of each sector of national economy of Iraqi economy.
The study shows that the increase in sectoral public spending leads to an increase in production of economic sectors and thus an increase in percentages of contribution of these sectors to gross domestic product. Thus, the aim of study will be estimating the input-output table of Iraqi economy of 2020 and used it in detecting and measuring the impact of sectoral public spending.
The study concludes that Iraqi political efforts are weak in field of preparing input-output tables, as all tables after 1988 are individual predicted by researchers, and this weakened work of planning and economic studies, so focus should be placed on preparing tables periodically without interruption from central government to help authorities responsible for preparing economic development plans for the country.
