Publishing her research in one of journals that has an impact factor and classified within (Scopus and Clarivate) containers, Dr. Nagham Muhi Kadhim, College of Science – University of Kerbala, has achieved a scientific level of her research that is published by the (Heliyon) journal issued by (Elsevier) publishing house. The study deals with design and analysis of the molecular structures of α-D-glucose molecules when bound to silver nanoparticles, using one of the density function theories. This theoretical effort has been done for the first time, providing analyses of structural and electronic properties, showing results of effect of molecular formation on a number of energy gaps. The importance of the research focuses on medical applications related to topic of reducing radiation doses allocated to treat certain types of cancer in order to limit their harmful effects on healthy tissues.
