A Student from University of Kerbala Chosen as a Disability Ambassador 2026

During an annual carnival organized by Iraqi Alliance of Disability to commemorate International Day of People with Disability 2026, Mohammed Taklif Al-Khalidi, a postgraduate student, College of Islamic Sciences, University of Kerbala, has been chosen as the Ambassador of Disability 2026.

The selection ceremony has been attended by Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, with a number of government and parliamentary figures, ambassadors, and members of diplomatic missions, reflecting official and societal interest in issues of people with disabilities.

Al-Khalidi expresses his deep gratitude of this activity, emphasizing that this title is not merely a personal recognition but rather a badge of honor for cause of disability, which continues to struggle to have its voice heard and its legitimate rights protected. He also stresses that this selection represents a doubled responsibility and an incentive to continue working diligently on serving these just issues.
