With the participation of a number of specialists, the Faculty of Agriculture at Kerbala University holds an electronic workshop entitled (ways of mastering the electronic exams on the Moodle educational platform). The workshop, presented by assist. Lect. Ali Abdel Redha Haidar, aims at defining the concept of testing, as the concept of tests is out of date, different from what is in modern education, and knowledge of the areas of development needed for curricula, programs, and academic courses to be followed with students.
The workshop shows that the test means to students previously fear, anxiety, and tension, because the school and family environments feel that they are the crucial moments, upon which success or failure depends, for this the students are living the test period, and they are in their most difficult psychological state, but recently all sides have stressed i order to keep pace with the civilizational development taking place, and the great scientific and technical progress based on achieving successful educational outcomes, until the test is defined as the measurement and evaluation of all the work carried out by the teacher. This is done to judge the level of student achievement, and the extent of accommodating of what they receive, and their understanding of the topics they studied, which is an essential means, that helps in achieving the educational goals desired by the course. This way is also an effective force that reveals the effectiveness of methods, teaching methods, curricula, and textbooks. The goals of tests, measuring the scientific level, and achievement for students, identify their strengths and weaknesses, putting students in groups, and measuring their progress in the subject, predicting their performance in the work assigned to them in the future and knowing the individual differences between students, whether they excel or slow learning. Added to that it encourages realism in education, transfers students from one class to another, and grants degrees and certificates.
