Faculty of Medicine/ Kerbala University has discussed the Ph. D. dissertation which is entitled ” Depression among Infertile Women in Karbala: Prevalence and Associated Factors”. It has been presented by Sura Diaa Mahdi.
The dissertation aims at finding out the extent of depression among infertile women in Karbala.
The results show that the prevalence of depression among infertile women in Karbala was 66.15%. 43.69% mild, 7.08% moderate, 15.38% severe depression and it is in line with other studies in Iraq, but it is higher than studies in different countries, as this high percentage increases the need for psychological support and medical treatment for depression.
