The Faculty of Administration and Economics at the University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled “the impact of servant leadership on improving job performance: Analytical study of the opinions of a sample of teaching staff members in some private schools in the province of Babylon “.
The study, presented by Amir Abbas Jabbar, aims at demonstrating the impact of servant leadership in improving job performance. It deals with measuring the servant leadership variable with five sub-dimensions (moral affection, empowerment, vision, humility and trust), and job performance has been measured in terms of three dimensions (task performance, creative performance and organizational citizenship behaviour).
The study finds out a significant effect of servant leadership on job performance. It recommends the need to develop the level of awareness of private school principals of the concept of servant leadership, which is positively reflected in creating a work environment that enhances individuals’ self-motivation.
