Kerbala University Opens a Specialized Law Library
Kerbala University opened a modern law library to endorse academic research and to enrich legal awareness. The aims of the library are intended to develop infrastructures and support the university setting.
The dean of the college, Dr.Dhia’a Al-Jabir, said that the library is special in terms of including the latest resources, letters, physical and electronic periodicals which reached over 33 thousand titles that discuss all legal fields including civil law, corporate law, constitutional law, and international law. This variety of topics will support the academic research of students and researchers.
The dean also stated that this library will aid in helping a wide range of students and researchers in the college as well as other universities and legal authorities. This is intended to enrich the legal awareness in society. Furthermore, an electronic archive system for the library was built to ease the process of finding the most relevant resources to students and researchers. In addition, the spread of smart devices makes it fundamental to use this technology in helping researchers to search for information and resources with minimum effort.
The dean emphasized that the opening of the library is the result of the ceaseless hard work of the employees and academic staff in the college.
