Faculty of Pharmacy / University of Kerbala has organized a scientific course entitled” Biological Security and Safety Course”, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists,
The course aims at developing participants’ skills concerning the importance of security and safety, ways to stay away from work hazards, familiarizing graduate students with biological hazards, describing the danger and the policy of warding off risk.
The course includes introducing fire resulting from the ignition of chemical and biological materials, as well as the danger of its explosion and the risk of biological pollution (viruses, bacteria, fungi), as well as mixing incompatible biological materials during transportation and storage, and compressed gases,
The course reviews the most important ways to prevent these risks, such as establishing a system for basic health requirements, waste management, as well as cultivating health programmes..
