A group of Lecturers from Faculty of Agriculture / University of Kerbala have published a research in “Bulgarian Journal of Agricultural Science”.
The research, which is co-written by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdel Jaleel, Prof. Dr. Rajaa Ghazi, and Lect. Zainab Lateef, is entitled “Isolation and molecular characterization of Fusarium solani as a causal agent of Fusarium wilt on cowpea (Vigna unguiculata).”
The research aims at identifying cause of wilt disease in cowpea crop, which includes large areas of fields of Karbala Governorate.
The study concludes that cause of wilt disease that affects cowpea crop in Karbala Governorate is fungus (Fusarium solani) and it is diagnosed based on its phenotypic and partial characteristics.
Bulgarian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, is published by Bulgarian Agricultural Academy, and ranked Q3 in global rankings, with an impact factor of 1.3 in Scopus classification and an impact factor of 0.8 in Clarivate.
