President of University of Kerbala Attends II International Conference on Medical Education and Emphasizes the Need for Sustainable Healthcare Development

Being organized by College of Medicine, University of Kerbala in collaboration with College of Medicine, University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, Karbala branch of Iraqi Medical Association, and Iraqi Medical Association – London, President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali states that shaping future of medical education is no longer an option but a necessity imposed by rapid transformations in healthcare system.
The president explains that advancement of science and technology and increasing expectations of society, innovation becomes cornerstone of redesigning curricula and teaching methods to ensure graduation of physicians with advanced cognitive and clinical skills.
He points out that interdisciplinary integration is a key element in strengthening teamwork and improving quality of healthcare services, as the future of medicine is based on collaboration, not individual efforts.
He adds that our responsibility today is to anticipate the future and work on laying foundations of medical education to be capable of meeting challenges and seizing opportunities to achieve sustainable healthcare development.
