University of Kerbala , in cooperation with College of Law, ends up its training course for heads of human rights divisions. The course focuses on sustainable development and human rights in light of contemporary challenges.
It covers many topics, such as ensuring future generation’s rights to a clean environment, which has been presented by Dr. Ishraq Sabah, mechanisms of eradicating poverty and its impact on sustainable development, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Saffar, human right to education and its impact on achieving sustainable development, presented by Dr. Wafaa Hassan, the role of peace and justice in building institutions and its impact on sustainable development, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Saffar and future generation’ rights to live in a healthy environment, presented by Ms. Ban Sahib.
Highlighting the close relationship between human rights and Sustainable Development Goals, the course reviews contemporary challenges and how to address them through effective and sustainable policies.
The course aims at enhancing practical and theoretical understanding of concepts of human rights and development.
