Representing Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of University of Kerbala, attends the First International Subtain University Medical Education Conference (ISUMEC 2025) under auspices of Ministry of Higher Education.
On behalf of Minister of Education; Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali emphasizes the importance of a contemporary curriculum that is competency-based and integrated, combining basic sciences with clinical expertise, noting the need to accommodate emerging scientific breakthroughs in fields of digital health, genomics, and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali calls for curriculum development to be a dynamic, ongoing process based on continuous feedback from students, faculty members, patients, and the community in need of medical and therapeutic services.
Added to that, he sheds light on the importance of providing a healthy environment for students, as it is an integral part of curriculum.
