President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basem K. Nile, accompanied by Vice President for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein, participated in activities of the first conference of Industrial Advisory Board in Iraqi Universities 2023, which was hosted by Gilgamesh Private University in presence of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi and a number of university presidents and deans.
The conference aims at harmonizing academic outcomes with labour market requirements, by developing graduates’ skills.
The conference participants shed light on the need to find a balance between outcomes of educational process and requirements of industrial sector in the country, calling for building bridges of cooperation between various sectors and activating the role of industrial advisory councils in Iraqi universities.
