Being attended by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, a number of Iraqi university presidents, and experts in international academic and research institutions, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of University of Kerbala, participates in the second Iraqi Higher Education Conference 2025 which is hosted by University of Baghdad.

The conference aims at discussing ways to develop higher education in Iraq and strengthening international partnerships in fields of research and innovation.
Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid emphasizes that Iraqi higher Education Conference represents an important national platform for unifying academic visions and enhancing cooperation between Iraqi universities and international institutions. It also contributes to shap a new era of quality education and scientific research.
He pointed out that University of Kerbala is keen to be an active part of this development process, keeping pace with national and international trends in university education.
Added to that, he says that the university will work on implementing the conference outcomes by supporting initiatives that enhance quality of academic and research programs and actively participating in national initiatives such as “Study in Iraq” initiative.
