Being held by Karbala Center for Studies and Research- Holy Hussein Shrine, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of University of Kerbala, participates in the Ninth International Scientific Conference on Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali states that Arbaeen Pilgrimage is not merely a ritual, but rather a philosophical act, embodying journey of starvation and liberation.
He explains that every step of Arbaeen Pilgrimage represents a true affiliation to humanitarian project pointing out that what happens during Arbaeen Pilgrimage cannot be understood solely within Shiite or Islamic framework, but rather is an open message to all nations to get rid of injustice attaining dignity and unconditional solidarity.
Attending by a number of religious, academic and social figures, Dr. Wajid adds that Arbaeen Pilgrimage can be considered as a philosophy of life and a global declaration of struggle between light and darkness, as well as a call for negotiation shedding light on the importance of Arbaeen pilgrimage as a humanitarian event that embodies spiritual sublime and social values.
