The Minister of Education discussing the development of the educational programs for the United Nations in Iraq

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Saheb, upon receiving the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Irina Voiachkova Solorano, affirmed his full support for the humanitarian and educational programs provided by the United Nations in Iraq.
The Minister says that the United Nations has important programs in all parts of the world, pointing out that the Ministry of Education is in constant contact with the United Nations organizations and events.
He adds that the ministry is discussing the development of coordination and development plans for the educational programs of the United Nations and its specialized organizations, especially the UNESCO, which praised the ministry’s strategy in formulating educational paths during the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
In the same framework, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Irina Voiachkova Solorano, confirmed that she seeks for providing programs that can serve faculty and students, pointing out that there are new programs for the United Nations in the fields of renewable energy and sustainable development.
