Two Lectures from University of Kerbala Obtain a Patent for Nanocomposite Drug

Two Lectures from University of Kerbala, Dr. Muhammad Nadhim Bahjat / College of Pure Science Education, and Dr. Khawla Ibrahim Abdel Nassif / College of Veterinary Medicine obtain a patent from Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, with participation of a research team, whom are able to prepare nanocomposite drug (nanopolymer – methotrexate) and study its biological effectiveness against breast cancer.
The patent aims at explaining nature of interactions between drug loaded on polymer and protein that causes growth and spread of breast cancer (Estrogen Receptor Alfa) by using a computer program.
It is noteworthy that this patent shared by a number of professors from University of Kerbala, University of Al-Qadisiyah, and Al-Safwa College.
