Faculty of law /University of Kerbala has discussed the PhD dissertation which is entitled “the role of applied sciences in criminal legal reasoning”, presented by Hassan Hadi Neama.
The study aims at demonstrating the role of integration between applied social sciences, such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and criminal law, especially in proving acts that law considers criminal.
The study concludes that there is a positive interaction between applied sciences and criminal law, since they are not inactive and self-sufficient sciences, but rather go beyond their jurisdiction to interact with law, especially in field of criminal evidence.
The study recommends the need for Iraqi legislator to amend relevant laws and include Directorate of Criminal Evidence within formations of Supreme Judicial Council.
