College of Education for Human Science/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “Collocation in Imam Hussein’s Speech”, submitted by Zainab Muhammad Jawad.
The study addresses phenomenon of “collocation ” in Imam Hussein’s speech, using descriptive approach.
The study provides a comprehensive analysis of phenomenon of “collocation” in Imam Hussein’s speech. It aims at revealing its characteristics and impact on meaning and eloquence of expression.
The first chapter deals with collocation in modern linguistic lesson, the second discusses lexical, semantic, and syntactic impact of collocation the third one examines lexical collocation semantically and the fourth chapter explains collocation syntactically.
The study shows that collocation affects linguistic meaning of words, making them more specific and clear.
