University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A Thesis on the Effect of Spraying with Nano-fertilizers

Faculty of Agriculture / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis, which deals with the effect of spraying nano-fertilizers on pomegranate “Wonderful and Salimi” under salt stress conditions.
The study presented by researcher Ahmed Mohamed. It aims at knowing which cultivar is more tolerant of salinity, as well as to know which fertilizers can be used to reduce the percentage of salinity.
The study ends up with the idea that superiority of Wonderful variety over the Salimi one in studied vegetative, root and chemical characteristics, and it also indicates that high salinity percentage leads to a decrease in the moral specifications of the product.
The study recommends the necessity of cultivating “Wonderful” cultivar in high salinity soils and using nano-fertilizer at a concentration of (1.5 ml liter – Optimus plus + 1 g liter -1 IQ combi) to increase tolerance of two pomegranate cultivars to salt stress, and improve characteristics of vegetative , root growth and chemical content of the leaves.
