University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A. Thesis on “The Impact of Sustainability Standards on Quality of Profits and Investor’s Confidence”

Faculty of Administration and Economics /University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled “The Impact of Sustainability Standards on Quality of Profits and Investors’ Confidence: A Study of a Sample of Industrial Companies Listed in Iraq Stock Exchange”. It submitted by Khitam Rahim Al-Dulaimi. The study aims at identifying the impact of sustainability standards in accordance to the criteria of initiative Global Sustainability Reporting (GRI) through its four dimensions (economic, environmental, social and governance) in enhancing the quality of profits and investor’s confidence, and identifying statistically significant differences according to the research variables (sustainability criteria as an independent variable, profit quality and investor confidence as dependent variables).
The thesis concludes that there is a need to adopt sustainability standards in industrial companies, and their relationship to a positive statistically significant positive relationship with the quality of profits and investor’s confidence.
