For its first time, University of Kerbala enters the QS World University Rankings (QS World University Rankings 2026: Top Global Universities). Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali says that this achievement is an important step towards strengthening the university’s scientific and academic standing internationally. He points out that the university’s inclusion of this global ranking is a culmination of continuous efforts of all university staff and reflects its commitment to international academic standards.
The QS ranking relies on a number of indicators to measure performance of international universities, including academic criteria which aims at assessing quality of education, scientific research, international openness, and graduate employment.
The QS World University Rankings is one of the most well-known and influential university rankings in the world and is published annually by British company Quacquarelli Symonds, which specializes in higher education and study abroad.
