University of Kerbala
Faculty of Islamic Sciences/University of Kerbala has held the annual festival which is entitled ” Al-Zahra (pbuh): principle, steadfastness and bestowal” with participation of professors and students.
The president of the University , Prof. Basim Khalil Nile, says “Al-Zahraa, peace be upon her, is a role model, and we all have to follow her, and every woman should have the values of Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her), calling for the consolidation of concepts in her biography, within the curricula, and to be taught according to her scientific perspective and taking benefit of her teachings for all generation.
He adds that the establishment of such activities is part of the university’s interest in spreading religious and cultural awareness among the university students, and in celebration of the anniversary of birth of the Lady of Women of Worlds (PBUH) and an affirmation of her heavenly approach that is suitable for every time and place. The festival, the expression of pleasure and joy in the hearts of the followers of the family of Muhammad.
The festival includes reciting poems, honoring the Fatimid students, and honoring those in charge of the festival.
