College of Islamic Sciences, University of Kerbala organizes a joint international scientific symposium with Research Center for Humanities and Cultural Studies_ Tehran on “Anthropological Approaches of Concepts of East and West.”
Dean of the College praises the role of Presidency of University of Kerbala, in supporting scientific and cultural events and facilitating cooperation with similar universities and research centers. He also commended outcomes of Joint Science Week.
Chaired by Dr. Mawahib Saleh Mahdi, the symposium includes a speech by Prof. Musa Haqqani, who emphasizes depth of intellectual and scientific exchange between Iraqis and Iranians, noting that scholars from both countries have made scientific contributions that preceded Western civilization in many fields.
Dr. Safoura Boroumand also delivers her speech highlighting the importance of endowment museums in preserving legacy of scholars and their role in promoting research projects. Dr. Samia Karimi addresses cultural and intellectual commonalities between Iraq and Iran, calling for strengthening scientific and cultural ties between the two countries.
