University of Kerbala Holds a Scientific Symposium on Digital Insomnia and its Psychological Causes

Being presented by Dr. Saad Jawad Al-Jubouri, Dr. Nada Raheem Al-Rikabi, and Dr. Basma Burhan Al-Shafi’I, College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala organizes a scientific symposium on “Digital insomnia: Its Psychological Causes Between Prevention and Treatment.”
The seminar aims at shedding light on the concept of digital sleeplessness in light of rapid technological advancements, where smartphones have become an essential part of daily life, transforming from tools for knowledge and entertainment into a constant source of nighttime interaction via social media.

The symposium includes a definition of digital sleeplessness, an explanation of its most prominent academic and behavioural consequences, a discussion of its psychological and social causes, and a presentation of a range of preventative and therapeutic solutions and proposals to help reduce this phenomenon and promote awareness of the importance of balanced use of modern technologies.
