University of Kerbala Holds a Symposium on Women’s Psychological Empowerment against Psychological Violence

Dealing with a silent pandemic and being presented by Dr. Abdul Amir Matar Fayli, College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala organizes a symposium on: “Women’s Psychological Empowerment in Face of Psychological Violence – Reading Art of a Novel”.
He presents an analytical reading of three Iraqi novels from different time periods, addressing various forms of cultural violence perpetuated by literary texts. During his discussion, he demonstrates Iraqi novelist’s interest in finding out solutions to this violence, emphasizing the importance of women’s education as an effective means to confront psychological and social pressures.
It is worth noting that this activity that keep pace with political reform in Third National Plan on Women, Security, and Peace, adopted by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
