University of Kerbala Holds a Workshop on Developing Economic Skills

College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala organizes a workshop entitled “Personal Branding,” presented by Ms. Maryam Al-Lami, an economic researcher IRIS specializing in private sector development and economic reforms, moderated by Asst. Lect. Elaf Ali Hussein.
The workshop aimed at providing sustainable solutions that enhance capabilities of community and local economy in long term. It focuses on strategies of building students’ and professionals’ personal brands, and developing their skills in promoting their talents and projects, thereby contributing to support economic growth and improving efficiency of productive sectors.

Keeping pace with objectives of Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8, which focuses on “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” and Goal 4, which addresses “Inclusive and Quality Education”, the workshop aims at to empowering young people to develop their personal and professional skills, enhancing their opportunities in labour market and supporting sustainable economic development locally.
